While Kai is busy protecting Mary, Iām over here trying to locate my signing banners, count books, order swag, answer emails, finish the next manuscript, and remember if Iāve bought anything to cook for dinner for the fam.
Summer signing season has officially begun, which means my office has exploded into every other room of the house.
There are boxes everywhere.
Stacks of books are multiplying when Iām not looking.
My dining room hasnāt been a dining room in weeks.
And I swear packing tape has become a permanent accessory.
People often imagine authors sitting peacefully in cozy offices with candles burning while inspiration magically strikes.
The reality?
Itās more like a caffeinated squirrel frantically stuffing tote bags while yelling, āI KNOW I put those bookmarks somewhere!ā
Spoiler alert... I did not.
š First Stop: BRAE ā Beyond the Read Author Event
Iām so excited because this will be my first-ever BRAE in Columbus, Ohio!

Next, Iām heading back to Knoxville, Tennessee for Rockinā Readers Romance, and I couldnāt be happier!
This will be my second year attending, and I absolutely love this event. The readers are amazing, the authors are fantastic, and itās always one of the highlights of my year.

After all that traveling, Iāll be back home in New Jersey for Booze & Books at Plagidoās Winery.
Books? Check.
Wine? Check.
Amazing readers? Always.
