Hey Pack! 🐾
People often ask me, “What’s it like to be a full-time writer?”
Well, it’s basically turning daydreaming into a career with endless coffee breaks, while keeping your brain on a permanent hustle setting. Sounds magical, right?
Cure sarcastic snort.
The truth is it can be. But it’s also chaotic, caffeinated, and dealing with characters and plot lines is a little bit like herding cats—if those cats were Alpha Shifters, obsessive billionaires, or Witches with attitude.
The truth is, being a writer means:
✍️ Staring at a blank page until the ideas start to scream at me.
☕ Living off coffee refills and early-morning snack raids.
💡 Convincing myself that scrolling social media counts as research.
🐺 Falling in love with heroes who don’t exist—except in my head.
⏰ Hustling nonstop (writing, drafting, editing, cover design, uploading to platforms, making sure everything is in on time, marketing, shipping books, managing ARC teams, reader groups, newsletters, and then doing it all over again).
And you know what? I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Because at the end of the day, those daydreams become the stories you hold in your hands—filled with fated mates, epic love, and Happily Ever Afters. 💜
✨ So You Want to Be a Writer?
Sometimes I get asked for pointers and tips, and the first thing I say is not everyone’s journey will be the same. In fact, I am positive it won’t be.
But if I were starting again, here’s the first thing I would have liked to hear from someone:
Treat writing like the job it is.
Learning to respect yourself and your work as an author is key.
That means dropping the word “aspiring.” The moment you decide, “I’m a writer. I’m an author.” — it becomes real. And you don’t need anyone else to validate that truth for you.
👉 If you’re writing, you’re a writer. Period.
👉 If you’re working on a story, you’re an author. Own it.
The job will demand consistency, patience, and yes, a lot of hustle—but the most important step is believing in yourself first. Because the stories won’t get written unless you show up and write them. And it takes a writer to do that.
Trust me, you’ve got this.

✨ When did you first call yourself a writer?
✨ Or, if you’re still working up to it — what’s holding you back from claiming that title?
I’d love to hear from you. 💜
